Steve Swanson – About Me and the Blog!
About Me
I am currently in my last year of Systems Design Engineering at the University of Waterloo and have worked at a few different companies in different roles. Most recently I worked at PlateSpin, (now a wholly owned subsidiary of Novell) as a Test Team Lead on the Forge disaster recovery application. I am now working part time as a Test Automation Engineer for the same product.
While this is going on I also beginning the development of a web based application to help with choosing University Classes, check back soon to see posts on that!
As I am graduating in April 2009, I am currently looking for a job for post graduation. So if you like what I write or are just curious, check out my resume tab, (now posted!). As a quick note I do have eligibility to work in the US (I am a permanent resident) as well as Canada (I am a citizen).
About the Blog
This blog is about testing, work, random thoughts, automation, scripting and those half baked ideas that one day might turn into something incredible. I mean this as a place to express myself and receive and reflect upon any and all comments/feedback on my posts.

Can I translate some of your posts to Russian and publish in my blog?
Of course, it will have a link to original post.
Thanks,

Hi Steve,
I read your blog and wondering if you could have help me here with Ruby.
Our clients are looking at Ruby for automation of Delphi client server applications. I have no clue on how to get started or where to obtain info. Can you tell me any advantages or disadvantages of using Ruby for automation of delphi applications.
Appreciate your help.
Thanks very much
Anuradha
